NURTURING - FOSTERING - MENTORING & PROMOTING
RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN AFRICAN-AMERICANS
& THE PEOPLE OF THE CARIBBEAN
This is a CONCEPT of our proposed MUSEUM
& 'MOBILE MUSEUM.'

African-Americans -
People of the Caribbean;
The Misconception

By Horatio M Bennett

MY PRESUMPTION:

This project will explore the relationships between the African-Caribbean and African-Americans. It will also highlight the similarities, in an effort to help bridge the cross -cultural inter-relation gaps between the two.
There is little doubt that there is an undercurrent of cultural disparity between Caribbean nationals and African-Americans. And while this may not conjure 'fist-fights' between the two entities, it has aborted, prevented, or even discouraged the recognition of the kindred-ship that actually exists between the two. One wonders why such misunderstanding is so intertwined when both are descendants of Africa; the Cultural Common  Denominator.
In an attempt to justify this apparent animosity, African-Caribbean boasts of its multi-cultural diversity. The general consensus of most of the over 28 multi-lingual-speaking Caribbean nations is the motto “Out of many, One People!” Ironically, the same goes for America: “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many, One). This does not sit well with their African counterparts who very much prefer to maintain their 'African-purity.'
When a person from a foreign country takes residence in another country of another culture, like the United States, for instance, one is expected to adopt that major culture. You are living here now, so we expect, no, we implore you to take on our culture. Though patriotic that may sound, it is not the way a country enhances its virtues. (Continues on 'Events Page)

JOIN OUR WINTER CARE PACKAGE
DONATION PROGRAM

1. A Distribution Center for Food and Care Packages for the Homeless
2. A Venue for After-school Enhancement Programs for Young Peoples

The HNB Foundation now has a broad-based purpose and commitment -with concentration on two principal objectives:

Changing the face of hopelessness.

Feeding the hungry, helping the homeless and caring for the destitute. The HNBF has been distributing food, blankets and care packages for many years, and supports COTS, Detroit Rescue Mission, NSO and The Cass Community Center.

Nurturing and assisting in helping elementary students with homework, peers and parent challenges, and creating ‘after-school’ events.

The HNBF has created a free online instructional website on which elementary students from all over the world can get assistance with their school challenges, either educational or personal, or both. This website is also available to ‘home-schooled’ students and parents.

There is a HNBF board director assigned to each of the two principal objectives.

Changing The Face Of Hopelessness

  • "One Person at a Time"
The Horatio and Natasha Bennett Foundation, a 501)c)3 nonprofit entity, is committed to donate blankets and care packages to Detroit-area homeless and destitute. Currently, blankets are being given away, most to people on the streets, and to other service nonprofit entities such as: The Detroit Rescue Mission, C.O.T.S, and the Cass Community organization. The organization accepts donation of NEW blankets and 'care items' from caring donors.

EDUCATING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE!
Every Child CAN Learn!
www.PleaseHelpMyGrades.com
Picture
This is our philosophy. It has been proven that just as we mature differently, we learn differently. Let us show you one more way to master the educational concepts of Math, Reading, and more

"Please Help My Grades" is an educational instruction video collection specially-designed to assist learning comprehension in the classroom; dealing with such subjects as Math, Science and English. Over the months there will be specific instructions on the daily problems students encounter in today's classroom.
Although your instructor is an 25-year veteran in elementary education,
"Please Help My Grades" should not be construed as the epitome for classroom instructions, but should be used only to enhance the student's scholastic pursuits.

"Please Help My Grades" is an ideal instrument for home-schooling, vocation and vacation-period schools, and especially for the child who faces a learning challenge on a particular subject.

PUBLISHER'S NOTE: It has been brought to our attention that a 'certain Caribbean organization' is repeatedly copying notes from our highly and thoroughly researched articles, and is passing
them off as their own. Now, while imitation is the fondest form of flattery, there is nothing fond about stealing (plagiarizing) one's work and claiming it as their own. If our work interests you
